What you can expect and photograph:

Ladakh, the land with magically magnificent lakes, high passes with arid and snowy mountains, rocky outcrops and lush green valleys, it is probably the most sparsely populated regions of Jammu and Kashmir leaving much to nature to redraw itself in every season, to offer stunning landscapes. Situated high in the Himalayas, it’s one of those scenic destinations one shouldn’t miss having it on their bucket list. Ladakh is a beautiful canvas with varied landscapes, warm people, rich heritage and a peaceful culture and so also a home to some of the exotic wildlife which thrives in such challenging and demanding climate. Let’s say, there’s a bit of something in this place for everyone, from the adventure seeker to a peace lover.

LensOwl’s Snow Leopard Photography Expedition is a one of a kind expedition that is specifically crafted for extreme wildlife experience while being in lap of luxury and comfort helping you make the best use of the time immersing yourself in sighting and photographing the winter wildlife of Ladakh. While gunning for the trophy images of Snow Leopard you might as well make some amazing snowscapes, panoramas, star-trail images and time-lapse videos across the snow, frozen rivers, lakes, mountains and monasteries and not miss some selfies and portraits of yourself against those mesmerising backdrops.

Leh and it’s surrounding offers plenty of sightseeing points. The winter provides access to some of the places, most notably Thikse Monastery, Shanti Stupa, Taglang La and villages around Leh, that lets you discover the rich cultural heritage of Ladakh. The monasteries offer plenty of paintings, scriptures, structures and lifestyle opportunities that helps you capture their way of life. Those are some story-telling opportunities for you when you return home. The winter transforms Ladakh into a different world altogether, a place that is completely contrasting to the peak season.

Uley, welcome to the snow leopard territory. Located in the Ladakh Range, Uley, a small hamlet, is one of the better places to chance on a sighting of the elusive cat, considering the sightings that has been taking place in the last few years. It also offers plenty of opportunities to see and photograph Ibex, Urial, Tibetian Wolf, Himalayan Fox, Lammergeir, Chukar, Himalayan Snow Cock, Yellow Billed and Red Billed Choughs, Robin Accentor, Horned Lark, Mountain Weasel, Pica and Golden Eagles.

Put in a nutshell, this tour offers a unique experience, extreme adventure and rewarding photographic opportunities.

Important Prerequisite:
